The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has attracted many phablet lovers. Now customers are waiting for the Galaxy Note 5 that Samsung is rumored to unveil in August or September.

The next-gen phablet will undoubtedly include better hardware specs and features in comparison to its predecessor. Here are some of the expected enhancements of the Galaxy Note 5.

Display

The Galaxy Note 4 sports a 5.7-inch QHD display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution.

The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to come with a bigger 5.89-inch screen but with the same display resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels found in the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung is also rumored to be testing 2K as well as 4K displays for the Galaxy Note 5.

Processor and RAM

The Galaxy Note 4 has a powerful Exynos Octa 7 processor clocked at 1.9GHz and 3GB RAM.

The next-gen Galaxy Note 5 is estimated to get an even more powerful and updated octa-core Exynos 7422 processor and 4GB RAM for faster processing.

Battery

The Galaxy Note 4 houses a 3,220mAh battery.

Smartphone users are increasingly using their handsets for taking pictures, watching videos, listening to music and more on the go. Considering the increased usage time of smartphones, Samsung is rumored to pack in a 4,100mAh battery in the Galaxy Note 5.

Camera

The Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 16MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP rear-facing camera.

Smartphone owners are using their smartphone's front-facing cameras more often to take selfies. Speculations point that the primary camera of the Galaxy Note 5 will be the same as its predecessor but the handset will sport an 8MP front-facing camera for higher-quality selfies.

S Pen

The Galaxy Note 4 comes with the S Pen stylus. The Galaxy Note 5 is also rumored to get the S Pen. However, the stylus in the next Samsung phablet may get an auto-eject feature, which means that Galaxy Note 5 users will not have to pull the S Pen manually. It will be pushed out automatically by the handset.

Release Date

Samsung normally launches a smartphone of the Galaxy Note series in September during the IFA. However, rumors suggest that the Korean company has plans to launch the Galaxy Note 5 earlier in August.

Samsung remains mum on the release date or details of the Galaxy Note 5. Smartphone enthusiasts will have to wait until the company officially launches the handset and reveals the specs and features of the Galaxy Note 5.
