The wait for Star Wars: The Force Awakens only seems to get longer with easy passing day. After a stellar showing at this year's Comic-Con, one might expect the Star Wars hype train to slow down in the months prior to the merchandising blitz coming in September.

That doesn't look to be the case — and Force Awakens actor John Boyega is doing his part in keeping anticipation levels at an all time high. Boyega took to Instagram to post what appears to be promotional art for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The image features Boyega's character Finn with a new type of blaster, standing side-by-side with Chewbacca himself.

It looks like the image could just part of a greater whole. In the upper right corner, what appears to some kind of weapon, spaceship part or robotic arm can be seen. Perhaps Boyega will be revealing more of the image in the days to come?

The actor also posted a behind-the-scenes image of him and co-star Daisy Ridley on set of the film. If rumors are true, Finn and Ridley's character Rey will be spending a large chunk of the film together. If that's the case, it seems like the duo will eventually meet up with Chewbacca and Han Solo on the desert planet Jakku — though under what circumstances is anybody's guess.

You can watch the behind-the-scenes footage from the film released at Comic-Con here.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18, 2015.
