The front panels for the iPhone 6s are reportedly in mass production now. This is at least what the photos, sent by a tipster to French website nowhereelse.fr, seem to imply. The anonymous informant claims that the glass cover for the iPhone 6s is now being produced by volume. This matches earlier reports that the newest iPhone will start mass production this month.

So far, nothing is for sure. The leaked photos, however, do seem legit, as they look pratically identifcal to the front panel of the iPhone 6. From the information available, it seems that the iPhone 6s will come with a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 750 x 1,334 pixels, while the iPhone 6s Plus will have a 5.5-inch display of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels.

This does not come as a surprise and, in itself, is not enough to raise the heart rate of any iPhone lover. The really interesting information, of course, would be exactly what the glass panels are made of and what else the display is capable of doing. Apple being Apple, there is bound to be novelty there, yet it is not yet discernible from the leaked pictures alone or from the claims of anonymous sources what these novelties may be.

Will the screen be made of sapphire crystal or alkali-aluminosilicate glass? Will it perhaps include Apple Watch-style pressure-sensitive technology, more commonly known as Force Touch? We cannot know about any structural or miniscule design enhancements, at least not at this point in time.

Other improvements over the current iPhone 6s are likely to include a fast Apple A9 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 12 MP camera with 4K video recording and improved Touch ID support. Again, nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet. While we are waiting for the iPhone 6s launch we will just have to make do with whatever info and photos get leaked and hope that the actual end result will truly be grand.
