A new report claims that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will ship with several new features, including 'Swipe to launch Motion Launcher', 'Aqua Capture', 'Smart Fingerprint' and more.

When Samsung officially launches the Galaxy Note 4 in September, the smartphone is going to have some heavy competition from devices like Apple's rumored 5.5-inch iPhone 6, HTC One M8 Prime, and LG G3. We're beginning to learn new details on how Samsung plans to retain its lead in the phablet market with its next-generation Galaxy Note 4 smartphone.

We recently reported that Samsung is planning on shipping the Galaxy Note 4 with a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display, which is a nice bump in resolution from last year's Galaxy Note 3, which uses a 5.7-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution display. The company has a few more tricks up its sleeves in terms of new software features.

SamMobile is reporting that Samsung is in the process of testing four new features that are destined for the Galaxy Note 4. The site's sources say that the company is currently using the Galaxy S5 to try out the new features, which also implies that they could be making their way to the Galaxy S5 in the form of a software update.

The first feature is called 'Swipe to launch Motion Launcher' and it sounds very similar to the HTC One M8's Motion Launcher, which allows users to wake the smartphone or perform different functions by swiping or tapping its display while the screen is off. 'Multi Network for Booster' will work in a similar fashion as the Galaxy S5's 'Download Booster', which allows the smartphone to use its Wi-Fi and cellular connection to speed up downloads.

The Galaxy Note 4 is also rumored to be waterproof and dust-resistant like the Galaxy S5 and will gain 'Aqua Capture', which will allow users to snap photographs underwater. Another Galaxy S5 feature to make the leap to the Note 4 will be its fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button. The site suggests that the Note 4's fingerprint scanner will likely do more than unlock the handset and authorize PayPal purchases with a feature called 'Smart Fingerprint'.

We're still a few months away from the Galaxy Note 4 becoming official, so take these new features with a grain of salt for now. We'll be sure to keep you updated on all things Galaxy Note 4.
