Apple is expected to announce its new set of iPhones, the next-gen Apple TV and the new iPad mini 4 on its annual event in September. The company's latest tablet offering was recently seen on a leaked image which shows the device's design features on every possible angle.

The image, which was tipped by known tipster @OnLeaks, shows the iPad mini 4 in a CAD render which gave the impression that the upcoming device will have a thinner design than its predecessor. The tipster was able to show the device in a number of varying angles which eventually exposed its certain design features.

First among them is the iPad mini 4's dimension which, according to the 3D CAD render, shows it to measure 203.2 by 134.8 by 6.1 millimeters (8 by 5.31 by 0.24 inches). If this is true, it will make the iPad mini 4 relatively thinner than its predecessor which measures 7.5 millimeter (0.30 inches) thick.

Design-wise, earlier reports said that the upcoming iPad mini 4 will be incorporating the same design features found in the iPad Air 2. The leaked render shows that the next iPad from Apple will feature a headphone jack and a sleep/wake button that are nestled on top of device. There's also the presence of the speaker grill on both sides of the device while a microphone was also spotted although it may have caused the mute switch to be removed.

Rumors are saying that the new iPad mini 4 will also be running an updated A8 processor. While the upgrade may seem a minimal change over its predecessor, it is still a notable improvement and one that will surely make up for the mistake that was made on the iPad mini 3.

Other purported features of the new iPad mini 4 include a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 8MP rear iSight camera and 2GB of RAM.

Apple is also expected to unveil the new iPad Pro, which is rumored to be a larger version of iPad Air and is said to have a 12.9-inch display. While there's no information yet on the exact launch date of the device, several rumors suggest that Apple may schedule the event sometime in the fall ,which could either be in October or November.

If all these events push through and the devices eventually find their way inside the store shelves, consumers will be faced with a number of size options on the iPads, such as small, medium and large. Likewise, those who are in the market for thinner devices may be delighted to know that apart from the thinner iPad mini 4, the upcoming iPad Pro will only measure 7 millimeters (0.28 inch). However, things are not the same with the new iPhone 6 duo devices, which are said to have a thicker build than their predecessors.
