We've all been there: it's a lazy Sunday, and your only plan is to spend the entire day binge-watching your favorite TV shows on the couch. But once you finish the latest Netflix original series Narcos, you suddenly can't find the remote to change the channel or select a new title.

Now you can prevent having to get up — by controlling the TV right from your smartphone or tablet, using the TouchJet WAVE, an entertainment gadget that turns any television into a touchscreen smart TV.

The TouchJet WAVE sits on top of the television and allows users to stream any movie or TV show from popular streaming services, check sports, read the news, post to social media, listen to music, search for things online, control their home and play games — all on a much bigger screen.

Some apps like Netflix have already been installed on the device, whereas others like Angry Birds or Minecraft can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and played on the TV screen.

Not only does this device enhance gameplay at home, turning any TV screen into a tablet, but it can also be used in the workplace. The TouchJet WAVE can be utilized to show interactive 3D models at the office with its accompanying app, which allows users to display files, photos, or video from a handheld device to the TV.

To work the TouchJet WAVE, it must be plugged into an HDMI port on the television and placed on top of the screen, with the channel turned to HDMI. The WAVE uses infrared sensors to detect finger movements, transforming a standard TV into an Android tablet.

You can use the device as a touchscreen or a remote, controlling the TV right from the couch with a soft touch stylus so there's no risk of greasy fingerprints while snacking.

The TouchJet WAVE is equipped with a 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with 1GB DDR3 memory and it comes with an 8GB flash drive. The infrared stylus is included, but it will cost extra for an air-mouse. The device uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 BLE technology.

TouchJet previously crowdfunded the world's first touchscreen projector, shipping thousands of units worldwide, and it has now come back to crowdfund the WAVE in a new IndieGoGo campaign.

Consumers can pre-order the WAVE for $99 plus shopping as part of the company's early bird special, with an estimated delivery of March 2016.
