Video game developers take their work seriously and rely on player feedback to make necessary adjustments, especially during critical testing phases. The process takes time, but it ensures players will have the best gaming experience when the final product is ready to be released.

With this in mind, Rainbow Six Siege fans expecting the game's October launch will have to wait a little longer. Ubisoft has announced the new release date for the game will be December for all regions.

"This wasn’t an easy decision, but based on the feedback we’ve received, and based on our own internal tests, we felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make," stated Ubisoft.

The Ubisoft team is reportedly making enhancements to Rainbow Six Siege's co-op experience, which covers all game modes, weapons, gadget balancing, menu navigation and interface navigation.

"We’re taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it’s the right call," the team said.

Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person shooter video game that simulates the real-life encounters of counter-terrorist operatives around the world. Players get to experience extreme close quarter conflicts, intense action-packed tactical team play, and the chance to master the art of skillful enemy destruction.

Though the game is set for official release on Dec. 1, the original close beta testing for Rainbow Six Siege will still push through on Sept. 24, allowing fans the opportunity to experience and experiment with the game.

Rainbow6Game posted a tweet encouraging gamers to sign up for the forthcoming closed beta testing:

As gamers themselves, the Ubisoft team is dedicated to providing the best gaming experience possible, and this is why the team will be closely monitoring the infrastructure and matchmaking of the game for further improvements and fine-tuning before the December official reveal.
