Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed that several screenings of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were shown to him and other executives. Recently, we heard that this had happened and that the film got a standing ovation.

Mr. Tsujihara also talked about the issues Warner Bros. is currently facing due to the fact that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was delayed from its original July 27, 2015 date to March 25, 2016.

The issue has caused the studio to not achieve the amount of earnings it had expected, but according to the CEO, moving the film to 2016 was a tough decision that had to be made.

The decision made for a better movie and gave Warner Bros. a lot of time to flesh out the DC Extended Universe in a more meaningful way. It also allows for films to be released closer to each other.

"It was a tough decision at the time because it was going to create a hole in 2015," Tsujihara said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "But it was absolutely the right decision for the franchise, for DC and the movie. Having seen the movie multiple times, and again last night, I'm extremely confident it was the right decision to make the movie better. And it's so important for the studio to get the foundation right on DC."

If Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released this year, chances are fans would have had to wait until 2016 to see another DC film. In 2016, fans will get to see two films from the DC Extended Universe, and it includes Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. After that, there should be at least two movies from the universe every year until 2020.

While we are glad to hear that Batman v Superman was received well at Warner Bros., we can't go by this alone to determine if the movie is good. After all, Man of Steel got a standing ovation, and look how that turned out. It's not a bad film, but it is certainly not a great one either.
