Is a Blade movie reboot on the horizon? We've been hearing about this for quite some time, but now a new report has claimed the film could get the green light in the near future.

Another movie based on the Blade character will fall under Marvel Studios, so moviegoers should not expect the same blood and gore from the first three films, starring Wesley Snipes. Furthermore, neither should they expect expletives, so such a film would be aiming for the family crowd.

From what we've come to understand, the new Blade comic will focus a lot on the 16-year-old daughter of our beloved day walker. Should the comic turn out to be a success, a possible movie could be on the cards, and the storyline would be similar.

It means that Blade himself wouldn't be the main character, but instead, his daughter.

Nerdist reports that the girl is called Fallon Grey, and she has chosen to take up her father's profession of killing vampires and whatever else that needs to die the late hours of the night. We wonder if she even goes to school, or have any friends. Well, maybe not.

As for whether or not Wesley Snipes would reprise his role as Blade, no one is certain at the moment. However, the actor did meet with Marvel Studios earlier in the year where they spoke about a possible Blade 4 among other things, so it is safe to say he could return.

"[Blade 4] is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things. I don't know where it's on their schedule at this point, that hasn't been decided. I guess it's still up in the air," says Snipes to Deadline.

With Snipes possible return, it would make sense to focus on his daughter because the actor is no longer capable of drawing big crowds on his own. The big question right now is whether or not Marvel Studios can get folks who are in love with the first Blade movies to enjoy a new one.
