Motorola's rumored Droid Turbo 2 may sport a shatter-proof display and is expected for a December launch.

An image of the Motorola Bounce, or the Droid Turbo 2, leaked online with the purported specs of the smartphone. The Droid Turbo 2 will succeed the Droid Turbo, which is exclusively available via Verizon Wireless in the U.S.

@Upleak posted an image of the Droid Turbo 2, and per the post, it seems that the handset will boast a 5.43-inch shatter-proof quad HD display.

Some market observers believe that the leaked image of the Droid Turbo 2 has resemblance with the company's Moto X Play. However, the specs of the unannounced handset seem slightly better than the Moto X Play.

If the leaked specs are to be believed, then the Droid Turbo 2 will be equipped with a 21MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP selfie camera.

There is no information about the processor, but a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 may power the handset. The tweet suggests that the upcoming Motorola mobile phone will include 3GB of RAM and a massive 3,760mAh battery. The battery size may seem big, but the original Droid Turbo included a bigger 3,900mAh non-removable battery, which offers up to 28 days of stand-by time and up to 48 hours of usage time.

The Droid Turbo 2 may be available in 32GB and 64GB on-board storage options. The handset's predecessor did not have the option to expand the memory with a microSD card and it is likely that the Droid Turbo 2 also may not have a microSD card slot.

As the Droid Turbo was only available via Verizon, the upcoming Droid Turbo 2 may also be offered only by Verizon in the U.S.

The Droid Turbo is available in metallic black or red colors. The leaked image of the Droid Turbo 2 shows a gray shell.

@Upleaks points at a December launch for the Motorola Bounce, which means that the handset should come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

Motorola is expected to make a slew of announcements at the upcoming IFA in Berlin. It will be interesting to see if the company reveals any information about the Droid Turbo 2 at the event.
