Twenty-four years ago, an 11-year-old Harry Potter took the Hogwarts Express on Platform 9 and 3/4, and so began a magical journey that, for many fans of J.K. Rowling's fantastical world, has never ended.

The story continues, even as Rowling herself has said there would not be a new Harry Potter book. This time, it's 11-year-old James Sirius Potter's first day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and his creator, Rowling, has shared the news on Twitter that James Sirius was at King's Cross on Sept. 1 to take the train ride to school.

Of course, millions of fans did not miss the opportunity to join in on continuing the story and replied their interactions with James Sirius to Rowling's Twitter.

Ever the queen of masterful storytelling, Rowling said an 11-year-old boy on the first day of secondary school has already too much to go through, even without random Muggles saying hi.

Once again, we are transported back in time to memories of the Great Hall of Hogwarts, where the first years are asked to put on the Sorting Hat to be assigned to one of the four famed houses. And, to really nobody's surprise, James Sirius has been sorted to Gryffindor, the house where his father and his godfather belonged.

What's even more exciting, however, is the fact that Teddy Lupin, son of Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks, is now Head Boy at Hufflepuff. Remus was in Gryffindor, but Nymphadora was one of the coolest members of House Hufflepuff we knew. Apparently, Teddy isn't so happy to find out that James Sirius is in Gryffindor.

For Muggles who have no idea what we're talking about, James Sirius is Harry Potter's first son. He makes his first appearance in the Harry Potter movies at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows during the epilogue, where he is seen with his younger brother, Albus Severus, boarding the Hogwarts Express on the latter's first day in school. The two have a younger sister, Lily Luna, who is moaning about not being old enough to go to Hogwarts, very much like her mom Ginny Weasley did when she was young.

Sept. 1, 2015 marks the 24th year Harry first stepped onto the train, and it has been 19 years since the Battle of Hogwarts has ended. Yes, it's been that long people, and many of us are still waiting for our Hogwarts acceptance letter to arrive by owl.
