Between the in-car navigation systems, the drones and the soil-monitoring device, Parrot has one of the oddest product portfolios in all of consumer electronics. However, let there be no doubt that the French company knows how to make a damn fine pair of headphones.

With their great sound, solid noise-canceling and touch control, the Zik line was a left-field hit in the headphone world from generation one. The products keep getting better. Unveiled at IFA this week, the third version of the headphones boast even more welcome additions.

They're still one of the most comfortable pairs of headphones I've tried on — and they still sound terrific for a pair of wireless cans. The noise-canceling is even better this time out; slipping them on in the middle of the IFA show floor is like closing a sliding glass door between you and the rest of the show — certainly a welcome occurrence.

For those who don't mind a tether, there's also USB audio now, which promises even better sound quality. On the flip side, wireless charging is also on-board now for those who really hate plugging in.
