T-Mobile started rolling out native video calling over Wi-Fi or LTE for select Samsung flagships, now reaching the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

The Uncarrier started this rollout last week, on Sept. 3, initially pushing native video calling to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. T-Mobile said at the time that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were next in line to get the treat and is now making good on its word.

A new update is now rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on T-Mobile, bringing the promised support for native video calling.

With this feature, users can place native video calls over Wi-Fi or over LTE using data from their plan. Making a video call is as easy as making a regular phone call from the phone's dialer, provided that the recipient has a device that's also compatible with T-Mobile's video calling. This means the recipient should also have a Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ or Galaxy Note 5. In the dialer app, simply tap video call instead of voice call and you're good to go.

If the user has a slower connection than Wi-Fi or LTE, the video call will automatically switch to a voice call but can be switched back to video with one tap once a faster connection is available again.

Weighing in at roughly 413 MB, the latest update for the Uncarrier's Galaxy S6 duo also includes the T-Mobile Advanced Messaging feature, which has sparked positive reactions so far. Advanced Messaging allows T-Mobile users to share high-resolution photos and videos of up to 10MB, with real-time chat and other perks.

Furthermore, the update also brings the updated Google Wallet app with Android Pay, Work Profile/ Device Owner, and Dropbox.

The update started rolling out on Thursday, Sept. 10, bringing the Galaxy S6 duo to Android version 5.1.1, with the Galaxy S6 (G920T) getting baseband version G920TUVU2DOH6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge (G925T) getting the G925TUVU2DOH6.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users on T-Mobile can look for the latest treat in Settings > About Device > Software Update, if they haven't received the notification already.
