Rapper Fetty Wap landed in the hospital following a motorcycle accident in Patterson, New Jersey.

The accident happened on Saturday, Sept. 26, when the singer was riding his motorcycle and tried passing a vehicle. The rapper did not see another vehicle coming from the other direction, and the car and Wap collided.

Pictures from the accident site showed the 24-year-old singer sitting on the ground with his crashed Suzuki motorcycle beside him. One image also shows paramedics taking Wap on a stretcher.

"Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today," stated a Fetty Wap representative, who wrote to Rolling Stone. "He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available."

Jerry Speziale, police director of Paterson, said that following the accident, Wap was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for undisclosed injuries. The rapper's injuries are not life-threatening.

DJ Louie Styles, who seems to have visited Wap in the hospital, tweeted that the singer was doing well. He also posted a picture of Wap receiving treatment at the hospital.

DJ Akademics, another Twitter user, also tweeted some image of the crash scene.

Police authorities say that Wap's accident is currently under investigation. The car that was involved in the accident was driven by a woman who escaped uninjured. No summonses have been issued, and the woman's name has not been publicly released by the police.

Fetty Wap was born Willie Maxwell. He has had a lot of success since 2014. His singles "Again," "Trap Queen," "679," and "My Way" have also made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
