It has been more than two decades since the original Tremors delighted audiences with its giant worm monsters and copious amounts of Kevin Bacon. The 1990 original struck the perfect balance between humor and horror, making it a bit of a cult classic.

Since then, the film has gotten a number of sequels and even a short-lived television series, with the latest film being 2004's western-themed prequel Tremors 4: The Legend Begins.

At the very least, it was the latest. Believe it or not, but a new Tremors movie is releasing Oct. 6 on Blu-ray and DVD, and for the first time, the franchise will leave its longtime home of Perfection, Nev.

It's titled Tremors 5: Bloodlines, and this time around, the Graboids will be invading South Africa. The film also promises to reveal a terrifying new form of the Graboid.

Sign us up. Of course, it wouldn't be a Tremors film without Michael Gross as Burt Gummer, the doomsday prepper whose ridiculous arsenal of overpowered weaponry has helped defeat the Graboids and their numerous evolutions over the years. Gross is back in Tremors 5, and he is just like you remembered him, only this time a little balder. I'm also particularly fond of the movie's box art, which appears to feature the same Graboid image from each of the previous movies, only this time rotated so that it's coming in from an angle instead of directly below the protagonists. Genius!

Check out the official film synopsis below:

"The stakes are raised for survivalist Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) in his most dangerous monster hunt yet. When Gummer's hired to capture a deadly Assblaster terrorizing South Africa, he and his new sidekick, Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy), find themselves in a battle to the death against the fiercely aggressive Assblasters and Graboids. Discovering that the monsters have evolved into even more lethal creatures, their mission takes on a whole new level of unseen terror — far more than they bargained for."

You can watch the trailer below. It looks like we'll be getting a Jurassic Park-esque kitchen scene and plenty of action if the trailer is to be believed. If that's not worth getting excited about, I don't know what is.
