It's a tradition to watch The Simpsons annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode, and we couldn't be more excited to finally get to see Sideshow Bob kill Bart—but just keep in mind that you will have to wait one more week for the highly anticipated murder to go down.

But horror and Simpsons fans alike will be pleased to know that we can start celebrating early because the series will debut a brand-new "Halloween of Horror" episode this Sunday, Oct. 18.

In a promo that teases the episode, we see some of the Springfield kids wearing Halloween masks that include a clown, the Scream killer and a pretty princess. While they are literally just standing there, Homer and Lisa get spooked while coming down the stairs.

For the entire clip, the two characters are screaming their heads off, which makes us do nothing but laugh at them.

The official synopsis for The Simpsons season 27 "Halloween of Horror" episode is as follows:

When Lisa becomes scared at the Krustyland Halloween Horror Night, Homer is forced to take down his Everscream Terrors decorations. Halloween pop-up employees seek vengeance on Homer for causing them to lose their jobs, and rob his house while Homer and Lisa hide out in the attic. Homer and Lisa light up their stored holiday decorations to attract attention and stand up to the intruders.

Nick Kroll and Blake Anderson will make guest-voice appearances in the new episode that premieres this Sunday. The annual "Treehouse of Horror" will premiere the following Sunday, Oct. 25.

The Simpsons airs at 8 p.m. EDT on Sundays on Fox.
