The Internet was set ablaze by reports that advanced ticket sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens would go live starting on Oct. 16, followed by the release of a new trailer.

It turns out that was only partially true: as io9 now reports, ticket sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will go live sometime on Monday, after a new trailer for the film is released at what is expected to around 8 p.m. ET. The site also reports that a new poster for the film will be unveiled on Sunday, Oct. 18 to get the masses ready for all the Star Wars goodness to come the following day.

These advanced ticket sales will be for showings of Star Wars 7 starting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 17 and going through Jan. 3, with some theaters also selling tickets for a Star Wars marathon that will show all seven films back-to-back. Nearly every theater chain and online ticketing site is expected to do pre-sales on tickets.

As for the new trailer, it's rumored to be airing on television during Monday Night Football on ESPN, though it will likely be online before or around the same time.

It's certainly exciting news for legions of Star Wars fans who have been hungry for new information about the film. Disney's last tease for the movie came back in August in the form of a short clip that showed John Boyega's character wielding a lightsaber.

Since then, it's been a slow trickle of news. The release of new Star Wars toys came and went in Sept., but no new plot details or information came from it. That looks like it will all change very soon. If you want to be among the first to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you better have your credit card at the ready come Monday night.
