Pioneer has had a rough year yet again, having been sold to Onkyo and even losing some important personnel.

The company is trying to turn things around, however, having announced a line of new high-end audio devices, including a pair of headphones, a digital stereo receiver and a portable music player.

The headphones themselves are ultra-high-end, coming in at a whopping $2,500. The headphones are called SE-Master1. They feature aluminum drivers, and there are reportedly 100 different processes that go into producing a unit.

Next up is the digital stereo receiver, called the SX-N30, which also has a pretty hefty price tag of $600. It offers an 80-watt-per-channel amplifier and can connect to Wi-Fi so users can stream from services like Pandora and Spotify.

Last but not least is the $700 XDP-100R portable music player, which certainly seems outdated given the rise of smartphones, but it will appeal to audiophiles who might want something more than what other music players or smartphones can offer.

Portable music players are a dying breed, but for audio fans, they're a big deal. Pioneer has released MP3 players before, but it hasn't released any high-resolution players. The player shares many of the same features as the Sony ZX2 player, runs on Android and features a four-inch touchscreen. It offers 32 GB of internal storage and is available in both black and silver.

Pioneer's player also features a microSD card slot and is compatible with the new Meridian Audio MQA format.
