The 2016 Honda Civic Sedan will hit the U.S. with two engine choices and the automaker finally released official pricing details as well as EPA mileage figures.

Honda officially unveiled its 2016 Civic Sedan back in mid-September, pointing out that it's the most ambitious Civic remake it ever made. The car looks sporty and sleek while delivering impressive power and efficiency, and Honda is now offering full pricing details for all models of the all-new Civic Sedan.

"The creation of this new 10th-generation Civic represents one of the most comprehensive and ambitious new model developments ever undertaken by Honda, requiring an unprecedented commitment of R&D resources and Honda engineering prowess," notes the automaker.

"Virtually everything about the 2016 Civic Sedan is new - all-new vehicle architecture, sporty and sophisticated new interior and exterior styling, a more spacious and high-quality cabin, two advanced new engines, and a host of new premium features and technologies."

The 10th-generation Honda Civic will sport a starting price of $18,640, while the much-touted turbo version of the car will start at a slightly heftier $22,200. The entry-level Civic model comes with a 2-liter engine and a manual gearbox with six speeds, gunning for EPAs of 27 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway for a 31 combined MPG.

Next up on the price chart is the same car with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) option, which goes up to $19,440. This model gets city, highway and combined EPA of 31/ 41/ 35 MPG, respectively.

The top-of-the-line 2016 Honda Civic priced at $22,200, however, is the most exciting model. The engine may be smaller at 1.5 liters, but this model boasts a higher horsepower of 174 (the 2.0L engine gets 158 HP) and torque at 162 lb (the 2.0L model has 138 lb torque). When it comes to EPA, the $22,200 Civic gets city, highway and combined MPG of 31/ 42/ 35, respectively.

The safety package called Honda Sensing, which features neat technology such as the Adaptive Cruise Control, adds an extra $1,000 to the price of each model, whether it's turbo or not.

Meanwhile, the Honda Sensing option, along with the Honda turbo engine tech added to the Civic, now gives prospective buyers a wider range of choices than ever before. The 2.0L Honda Civic models come under the Civic LX and EX trims, while the models with the turbocharged 1.5L engine come as the Civic EX-T, EX-L (leather interior) and Civic Touring.
