Chinese smartphone maker Meizu is preparing to launch a new handset dubbed the Blue Charm Metal. The device is listed with an online retailer and bears a price tag of $249.

Earlier in October, OppoMart accidentally listed the long-rumored OnePlus X, also known as the OnePlus Mini, on its website. Now the retailer has put up the unannounced Meizu Blue Charm Metal along with its specs.

OppoMart listed the phone as Meizu Metal. Reports suggest the handset will be launched on Oct. 21. According to the product listing, the Meizu Metal will sport a full HD display measuring 5.5 inches with a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

A 2 GHz MT6795 MediaTek X10 octa-core 64-bit processor will power the upcoming device. The Meizu Metal will also be equipped with a 13MP front-facing and a 5MP rear-facing camera, along with a RAM of 3GB.

The mobile phone provides storage options of 16GB and 32GB. It will also include a 3,050mAh battery that will offer a standby time of up to 10 days. The product's description on Oppomart does not specify if the smartphone will come with a microSD card slot to expand the memory capacity.

The Meizu offering will run on the Yun operating system (OS), which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The handset also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE support.

The phone will run on only GSM bands, which means customers using a CDMA network will not be able to benefit from the latest handset.

The specs of the Meizu Metal, or the Blue Charm Metal, are impressive for a mid-range phone. The price of $249 may attract many customers to buy the handset, just in time for the holiday season.

It is doubtful if the Meizu Metal will officially make its way to North America or Europe. However, OppoMart's shipping and handling page suggests that the retailer can ship products "all over the world."
