Talk about an enormous Samsung tablet called Galaxy View has been making rounds on the Internet for a while, and when these leaked press images were leaked, the rumors of an 18.4-inch tablet were confirmed.

When Samsung introduced it in September, a bit of information about the Galaxy View was leaked every now and then, but this time, we get to see the gargantuan tablet from all angles. SamMobile got a hold of some promotional images, and the pictures showcase some interesting features.

To start with, the Galaxy View seems to have strayed off a bit from the standard Galaxy layout, as a physical home button is missing. Design-wise, Samsung made a good decision because having to press such a button on a large display is quite difficult. Presumably speaking, the tablet will have on-screen navigation.

Next, what caught the interest of most viewers is the odd-looking dock. It seems to have a sort of handle designed to make carrying the Galaxy View a lot easier, and the dock can be folded back to make the tablet stand on its own, which was expected, of course.

Based on the images, the Galaxy View is fitted with a front-facing camera that supports full HD, which is perfect for video calls or self-portraits. The camera is said to be have a 2-megapixel sensor.

According to leaked specs, the Galaxy View will be a midrange tablet, but it makes up for its average performance with its large display, which is excellent for watching videos. If the 1,920 by 1,080 resolution holds true, it will probably support about 119 ppi. And as expected, the tablet will have an Exynos 7 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, and it will sport 2 GB of RAM and an ARM Mali-T720 GPU. The tablet is also said to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

What all these tell us is that Samsung didn't just develop a gigantic tablet for the sake of it, as the South Korean tech firm didn't really skimp on its specs nor did it carelessly design it. It seems that we'll be getting a huge decent-performing tablet along with a good grip.
