Xur has returned to Destiny's tower, and this week he has a surprise for all the Warlock players out there.

With The Taken King, Bungie upgraded a number of various year one exotics for year two. For players who already owned these year one items, a year two blueprint would appear in their exotic armor or weapon collections for crafting. It was assumed that since the Warlock helmet Skull of Dire Ahamkara doesn't appear on the year two helmet list that the item wouldn't be getting a year two upgrade, but it appears that's not the case.

Xur is selling a 280 Light version of the helm this week for 13 Strange Coins. It's a solid helmet, especially for players who still find they prefer the Voidwalker subclass. Seems like Bungie still has some surprises in store for players after all...

Aside from the surprise appearance of Skull of Dire Ahamkara, nothing too exciting this week. The Titan helmet Empyrean Bellicose isn't all that great. It's main perk allows you to hover in the air and take aim when holding down the left trigger. While it can be useful in certain situations, it's a little too niche to make it a recommended item. On the Hunter side of things, Bladedancers who don't yet have Mask of the Third Man might want to consider picking it up.

As usual, Xur is also selling the Three of Coins consumable, which should boost your chances of finding some exotic and legendary engrams. He also has a legacy heavy weapon engram for sale if you are looking to round out your collection.
