The latest installment in the Star Wars franchise is set to hit theaters on Friday (as if you didn't already know that), and according to a tweet sent out by the British astronaut Tim Peake, The Force Awakens will also be screened aboard the International Space Station as millions of moviegoers view it for the first time, at the same time, here on Earth.

When Twitter user @ChrisEastabrook lamented the fact that the astronauts aboard ISS would not be fortunate enough to see The Force Awakens until they return from their mission, Peake was quick to correct him.

Other movies that have screened aboard ISS this past year have mostly been space-related; among them are The Martian and Gravity. Given that these flicks are disaster movies, they hopefully did not make the space engineers stationed at ISS too uneasy. Regardless, the astronauts more or less get to view movies (and will view The Force Awakens) in style: three-time space veteran Scott Kelly described their home entertainment setup as a pretty sweet deal, equipped with "[a] new HD projector which we use for conferences, tech software, etc.."

While we now know that the ISS crew will get to see the movie out there in the ether, there is no word on when exactly it will be screened.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters this Friday, on Dec. 18.
