Google's Nexus smartphones come with the guarantee of receiving updates to the latest version of Android right from Google. Customers can now pick up the company's latest Nexus 5X for $199.99 when activated through Google's Project Fi service.

The LG built Nexus 5X is one of Google's latest Nexus smartphones and joins the larger Huawei Nexus 6P as the company's latest handsets to showcase Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Unlike smartphones from Samsung, LG, and HTC, Google does not run a skin on top of Android, which in some cases slows down the handset.

Besides running a stock version of Android with no bloatware, Nexus smartphones are popular because they receive the latest and greatest version of Android updates once Google releases them, no need to wait for carrier approval, which can take months, if ever.

Google is now offering the Nexus 5X through Project Fi and according to TechBargains, customers can purchase the Nexus 5X for $199.99, adding one month of service in order to get the $199.99 price. If you want to sign up for service on AT&T or T-Mobile, you'll be able to switch without facing any penalties, like the ones major U.S. carriers typically implement.

The Nexus 5X was designed to run the latest version of Android, 6.0 Marshmallow, and features a 5.2-inch 1,920 x 1,080 Full HD display with a pixel density of 423 pixels per inch. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418 GPU (graphics processing unit), 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage.

The Nexus 5X packs in a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, dual-tone flash, and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies. The smartphone includes a non-removable 2,700 mAh battery and is available in choice of Carbon, Quartz and Ice color options.

If you're interested in this Nexus 5X deal, head over to Project Fi where you can score the 16 GB Nexus 5X for $199 or 32 GB for $249.
