Only one day after the official announcement of the M3 Note handset, Meizu officially started teasing its upcoming Pro 6 smartphone.

The media found out many details about the Pro 6 already, but this is the first official teaser for the device. It should be noted that the most recent image of Meizu's Pro 6 phone falls in line with hints from previous leaks.

The image only showcases the back of the smartphone, but we can speculate that the frontal design will follow the purported information from previous images. Looking at the device's rear, we notice that below the camera the OEM placed a LED flash with laser autofocus.

Previous rumors said that the Meizu Pro 6 comes packed with powerful features that will eclipse the ones on the M3 Note. In all fairness, the two devices belong to different price ranges altogether. For the Pro 6, processing power will rely on an Exynos 8890 CPU from Samsung, which gets additional oomph from 4 or even 6 GB of RAM.

The phone will use a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen to display its 2,560 x 1,440 resolution visuals, and digital photographers will want to know that the camera combo will contain a 21-megapixel main camera joined by a 5-megapixel selfie-snapper.

The handset will feature nifty capabilities, such as fast-charging and Hi-Fi 3.0 sound. A sturdy 3,500 mAh battery will keep the device running.

A Gizchina report from last month predicts that the Meizu Pro 6 will come in two models. The first one will pack a whopping 6 GB of RAM and a generous 128 GB of default storage space, while the second will reportedly carry only 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of standard storage.

When it launches, the Meizu Pro 6 will join the increasing number of handsets that holster 6 GB of RAM. The Xplay 5 Elite phone from Vivo was the first device to roll out sporting the record-breaking 6 GB of RAM. In comparison, Samsung's latest flagship line, the Galaxy S7, only comes loaded with 4 GB of RAM.

Meizu has yet to officially reveal when it will out its latest smartphone, but we will make sure to keep you posted as soon as it happens. Some insiders familiar with the matter said that May might be the lucky month, and it's just around the corner.
