According to Gamer Journalist, "Pokemon GO" demands people to bring teams with Pokemon caught from November 9 onwards. Older Pokemon would not be accepted by the game when entering the Catch Cup League's week-long event.
Additionally, Pokemon from egg hatches are allowed, provided that they were collected and opened during the start of Season 5 or later.
