The rumored Raptor Lake will bring the Intel Core i9-13900K which will have an improved clock speed of 5.8GHz.

The Alder Lake so far is the biggest name in the field of processors right now, but the reports say that the upcoming batch of 13th-gen chips will be much more powerful than it.

These new flagship CPUs under Raptor Lake are leaked to be preparing for their release a few months from now.

According to Digital Trends, this series will feature a hybrid core architecture that is very Alder-Lakish at first glance. However, the CPUs are different when it comes to the types of cores that they utilize.

The 12th-gen Alder Lake uses Gracemont Atom cores while the rumored Raptor Lake will rely on the Raptor Cover for the performance cores.

As such, we should expect that it will contain 16 efficiency cores. That's a vast improvement from the usual 8-core feature. The total core count of this rumored processor will reach up to 32 threads and 24 cores.

On the other hand, the Alder Lake series sports a few cores. The Core 19-12900Ks only has 16 cores and 24 threads.

Raptor Lake 'Game Cache' and Clock Speed

Per Wccftech's report, many tipsters revealed that Raptor Lake is eyeing to amp its current cache size. The processor could reveal up to 68MB of "Game Cache." This is a huge plus for users who want to have a smoother experience when playing video games.

There's another interesting rumor that revolves around Raptor Lake. According to a leaker named OneRaichu on Twitter, this lineup might bring some unexpected improvements for the P-core clocks.

The Core-19 13900K or the Core i9-13900KS could be the next big thing for the Raptor Lake series. To think that either of the two will bring a beast clock speed of 5.8GHz, that's a big change compared to the 5.5GHz of the Core i9-12900KS.

Somehow, this leak gives us a glimpse of how Raptor Lake processors will fare compared to Alder Lake. However, we have not yet heard more about its power requirements so that still could change in the future.

Of course, the Intel CPUs grind more energy than we could imagine. So far, the i9-12900Ks could reach a max boost clock after it attains 260 watts of power.

We assume that the Core-19 13900K or Core-19 13900KS could bring up to 300 watts.

The expected launch of the Intel Raptor Lake will be in late 2022. That's not the only high-end chip that you might see at this time since AMD Ryzen 7000 could potentially be released, as well.
