Twitter is going decentralized with Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey's plans unfolding now, but the social media platform is not yet there. However, an open-source partner of the company, Bluesky, released the first code to its new platform that may help in supporting the take on decentralization, giving a hopeful future for social media.

Bluesky releases its first code for the public to know and have stakes in, and it is with the Authenticated Data Experiment (ADX) that pushes for decentralized platforms to build on them. However, its CEO Max Garber said that this is only a taste of what Bluesky will offer soon, and the service is not yet ready for apps or companies to build their platforms in it.

The ADX is now available on GitHub for the public to see, and it gives an insight into the company's project that will soon partner with the likes of Twitter for its decentralization campaign. ADX pushes for "working in public" and sticks to its vision of giving decentralization for platforms that need it, something which Twitter has pushed for in the past months.

Will it Help Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey's Goals?

The Bluesky ADX is available for open source under the MIT License, and it will help the public know more and base their apps, but Garber said it is still working on the platform.

The decentralized and open-source platform from Bluesky will help Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey's goals of making Twitter into a different social media than it used to be. However, the company would have to wait for Bluesky regarding this venture for future usage.

Decentralization and Free Speech

Twitter is all about free speech now, thanks to its new owner, Elon Musk, that pushed for the privatization campaign of social media, which he will turn into a new platform for all. It would not have any bars held in the offers of the medium, especially now that he has complete control over it and can do more of what he said before he joined the team.

Decentralization is also a part of the campaign by the CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey. He said that Twitter initially started as a decentralized company but then helped in its centralization

Now, the two executives are working hand-in-hand by showcasing support, especially with the co-founder's trust, which he bestowed to Musk in his campaign to make Twitter private. The goal is an experience that will give users more of what they want but does not necessarily violate any laws.

Bluesky will be a platform for Twitter to build its decentralized platform, but it is not quite ready yet for the social media company. It is not yet prepared for its own needs as the platform is still developing its systems, but its soon availability will help make a platform that does not belong to or hold the internet on its own.
