Motorola Moto G Play Drops Its Price from $169.99 to $113
While the high-end smartphone market remains extremely hard to deal with, the budget smartphone market has taken a different approach. Motorola's Moto G Play aims to provide more for less.
Although the phone lacks some of the advanced features or cameras present in high-end phones, it still holds a strong presence for users that just want the basics. According to the story by CNet, it has slashed around a third of its price and is now for sale for just $113 from its previous price of $169.99.
Prices Drop by 33% and 12% for the 32GB and 128GB Models
As seen on Amazon, the Motorola G Play has dropped its price by 33% for the 32GB model and 12% for its 128GB model. For those that want to buy the 128GB model, however, the device is being sold at $264 from its previous $299.99.
Although buying a device with more space might seem more logical, there is another way for users to upgrade the space without having to spend twice the amount. This is through purchasing SD cards to provide additional storage.

It's important to note, however, that SD cards aren't too useful when it comes to installing multiple apps but can still come in handy when storing images and videos. As seen on the Motorola website, the device was described as having a "massive screen. Massive battery" with 37 ratings giving it close to four stars.
The models being sold on Amazon are reportedly unlocked, meaning users will be able to pick a carrier of their choice since it is compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon networks. For Verizon users, however, the SIM still has to be activated through the users' Verizon Wireless.

How to Unlock Verizon for Your Motorola Moto G Play
In order to unlock Verizon on the Motorola G Play, users will have to go to their Verizon Wireless account and click on Devices. After that, users will have to choose to activate or switch devices and manually activate them.
The 32GB phone reportedly comes with a 5000 mAh battery which, as per its listing on Amazon, will be able to last three days on just a single charge. Although the device doesn't include some of the high-end features available on other devices, for its price point, users can expect long battery life as well as access to a budget phone with access to different apps.
