BMW and Toyota are partnering for a new clean energy venture with reports claiming that it is looking to deliver a hydrogen fuel cell for its vehicles to deliver soon in the future. The hydrogen fuel cells will be the joint venture between the two companies and would soon bring their technology to each's respective vehicles for the world to purchase.
BMW and Toyota: Hydrogen Fuel Cells Development Partnership
Nikkei Asia reported that BMW and Toyota are now in partnership to develop a new clean energy venture, and it is the hydrogen fuel cells that will power next-generation clean energy cars for the companies.
The decision to push with the new power cells is due to the strict environmental laws in the European region which would soon phase out internal combustion engines.
BMW Sales Chief Pieter Nota confirmed this development for the company, claiming that it joined forces with Toyota for the new clean energy venture.
According to Tech Crunch, these two car companies are "laggards," and it means that they have a slow development in clean energy technology regarding electric vehicles.

When is the Hydrogen Fuel Cells Coming?
The statement by Nota claimed that the new hydrogen fuel cells from both companies may arrive by 2025, and it would feature a new focus for both companies, each with its release concerning the new fuel cells.
According to the reports, BMW already unveiled one of its concept cars last 2021, focusing on the iX5 Hydrogen as one of its earliest takes on the clean energy option.
BMW and Toyota's Clean Energy
The German manufacturer of sports and luxury vehicles is coming together with the Japanese economy carmaker to feature clean energy for their releases. Reports claim they lag in EV releases, hence this new opportunity toward clean energy.
Toyota is long in the game with their vehicle creations, but not so much for clean energy ventures as the company only has one fully electric vehicle in their development towards alternative sources. Sure the Japanese automaker has many hybrids in its releases, but there only is one EV from them which is the latest 2023 bZ4x.
On the other hand, BMW brings several units for their clean energy venture, and so far, it has two vehicles that run on battery power alone. These are the i4 and the iX electric cars from the German company, with it having significant manufacturing of internal combustion engines and several hybrids.
That being said, the two companies are looking at a new venture towards clean energy but it is not much on battery power as they are banding together for hydrogen fuel cells to soon deliver. It may be coming in less than three years, but it will be their take to powering new generation vehicles from each's lineup, for the world to use.
