In May, Honor Global launched its Honor 70 series that introduced a feature called Solo Cut Mode suited for vlogging. Three months after its release in China, the tech company is shipping the series to the UK.

Honor 70 UK Launch

According to Android Central, the price of the Honor 70 smartphones will start at $563 for 8GB of RAM and 126GB of storage and $622 for 256GB of storage. Both versions will go on general sale on Sept. 2, with preorders opening on Aug. 29.

Compared to Honor 50, released in 2021, the Honor 70's camera specs are much better balanced.

Instead of pairing a high-resolution 108-megapixel camera with three sensors totaling only 12-megapixels in resolution between them, the Honor 70 balances a 54-megapixel main sensor with a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

This approach to the camera sensors will result in a more versatile camera system.

Honor 70 Software Features

According to GSMArena, Honor 70 has new software features. The smartphone boasts that its Solo Cut Mode feature allows you to film a wide shot in landscape while the phone simultaneously films the second video in portrait that can keep you in the frame.

Honor 70 also has other multivideo modes supported by its camera app, like being able to film from both the phone's rear and selfie cameras at the same time, as well as filming from the ultrawide camera.

As for its design, the Honor 70 shares similarities with the Honor 50. It has the same distinctive dual-camera ring design on its rear and curved 120Hz OLED display with a hole-punch notch at the center. It is also bigger due to its 4,800mAh battery, which can be fast charged at 66W charging speeds.

The specs have incremental improvements across the board. The screen is a bit bigger at 6.67-inches corner to corner, and it is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus processor.

Alongside its new smartphone series, Honor Global also announced the Pad 8 tablet. According to Gizmochina, it launched as the Honor Tablet 8 in China in July.

The tablet has a 12-inch LCD screen powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor. It is available for $317 in the UK and will be available direct from Honor on Aug. 29 or on Sept. 2 from Amazon.

Honor X8 5G

Honor Global has also launched Honor X8 5G in the UK. The smartphone has a 6.5-inch high-definition display, and its LCD screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon powers the phone with 6GB RAM and 126GB storage. It is dual SIM and has a 48MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Honor X8 5G's 8MP front-facing camera has an aperture of f/2.0 and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It supports superfast charging thanks to its 500mAh battery, according to Fonarena.

The HONOR X8 5G is priced at $272 and is already available at HiHonor.com, Argos, and Amazon.
