LG is going above and beyond with one of its latest Smart TVs, the LG MAGNIT 4K 136-inch TV. If the size of the TV doesn't shock buyers, its price tag might since it costs a whopping $300,000.

A New LG TV Drops and It Costs Over Two-Thirds of the US Median Home Price

To put things into perspective, the price of the 136-inch LG TV is more than two-thirds of the median home price in the United States at $428,700 during Q1 of this year, according to an article by Fool.

Due to its massive price, it's safe to say that the LG MAGNIT 4K 136-inch TV might not be designed for the average buyer. Instead, the device could have been created to cater to more high-end home-theater buyers.

LG 136-inch TV Comes with an LED Display and a 120 Hz Refresh Rate

According to the story by Gizmo China, the LG 136-inch TV was revealed just a few days ago, and the public was mostly blown away by its large size. Now, a lot of people have also been blown away by its large price.

The article notes that the pricing is more fit for a "humongous premium home theater." The massive TV was first announced with a micro-LED display and will come with a 120 Hz refresh rate with 2,000 nits of peak brightness.

Entire Screen is in 4K Resolution

The name itself shares it all since the TV will come with a massive 4K resolution as well as "cutting-edge color, contrast, and clarity." To make things even more interesting, the massive TV will be running on the webOS smart TV platform.

The LG MAGNIT 4K 136-inch TV is priced at $299,999, which is already a premium asking price, but for those that might not think it is premium enough, there is a set that buyers can choose that costs even more.

More Expensive Set will Cost Buyers $349,999 with Speakers

There is an option to purchase the MAGNIT 4K 136-inch TV with the Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 90 floor-standing speakers. This set will cost buyers a whopping $349,999 for both the TV and the speaker set.

To be fair, the speakers themselves are already expensive, and alone, they would retail for a whopping $115,000. The Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 90 floor-standing speakers are capable of delivering 8,200W from each speaker due to their 18 drivers.

LG's 136-inch TV Can be Purchased by Those that can Afford It

One important thing to clarify is that LG is not a Chinese company despite being described by Gizmo China as such. As per the company's website, it was mentioned that LG is a Korean company hailing from South Korea.

As for what type of buyers are expected to purchase the massive 136-inch TV, one thing is for sure, they will have to have enough money to do so.
