Security researchers collectively known as "Mysk" claim that the Apple App Store tracks everything that people type and search for on its platform. The researchers said that the iOS is programmed that way to send detailed logs from users to Apple, and this is part of the company's recent campaign to deliver advertisements on the App Store.

There is a security dispute with Apple now, and these claims from the researchers bring development to Cupertino's products, something which presents a risk for users.

According to security researchers, Mysk, Apple's recent changes to the Apple App Store should raise "privacy concerns" to all for what it brings to the table. One of the features it centers on now is that it tracks everything which people type using their iOS devices, and this was seen on Apple's iOS 14.6, sending out everything that a person types on their respective keyboards.

It sends detailed logs to Apple, and it is unknown what they do with the data that users input on their devices.

Mysk claimed that their research involved a device that has data usage and personalized ads turned off in their settings, with everything that a user types getting sent to Apple immediately.

Apple App Store and its Ad Program

According to 9to5 Mac, the Apple App Store is on the verge of introducing its new ad placements program for users to see banner ads when they search on the platform. The files sent to Apple comes as JSON files, and there are no explanation or official statement regarding what they do with the files, something which is a grey area now.

App Store and iOS Privacy

The iOS is centered on privacy which users can control and choose what apps or programs are allowed to access the data and information from them. The latest iOS 16 continues the features of the iOS 14 which centers on app tracking transparency, and Apple guarantees that users will have full control of what is available to the company and third-party apps.

However, there are now disputes against Apple and its services, particularly with the App Store, in this age of data and information.

There was a previous report that App Store search ads are coming, and Apple intended it to be this way, with user concerns centering on it appearing without using the platform.

This issue, along with the many which surfaced against Apple's current systems center on the dispute against the company for its practices and technology.

Now, the Apple App Store faces another privacy issue thrown against them, particularly with its alleged tracking feature that centers on what people search on the platform. Apple did not address the allegations thrown at them, with the company still centering on the privacy policy that is present on its devices.
