Twitter debuted a new feature on the platform and it centers on "Cashtags" which now extends the information it brings with the addition of market data to appear on the platform. Previously, the cashtags feature will only allow people to click on the words in a hyperlink that will show the same results, and it works like hashtags on the social media platform.

Twitter Business posted an update available for all users of the social media, and it is the $Cashtags upgrade that is now adding market data for every possible search for stocks and companies.

The company will add data and information on every cashtag search, adding infographics and charts from other websites to further help in their analysis.

It means that people will have instant access to these kinds of data despite staying on Twitter, with its system delivering this information right on the app.

People who want more information regarding a certain stock may opt to visit the hyperlinked website that will lead them straight to it.

Cashtags are Like Hashtags Before, Not Now

Before, cashtags work like hashtags, which provides a clickable link to the platform regarding a search of this topic or information to see other mentions from users. Apart from doing the same thing now, it also adds more to it, with market data and other links that will lead users straight to this, as worked on by the Twitter team for financial improvements in the platform.

Twitter and its Latest Features

Elon Musk and the social media platform are expanding the features it aims to bring to it, especially with the famed $8 subscription for a verification badge that people were long hoping for here. Instead of a fast track to verification, people now have to pay for it, and it was initially overrun by fake accounts that can make trolls look legitimate.

Now, there are new levels of verification that will deliver different colored badges for people to differentiate them from personalities, brands, and the like.

Subscribing to Twitter Blue under its new policies already requires a phone number to further verify the legitimacy of the accounts, and this is to counter the fake users who used it to impersonate others. This new layer of security aims to help legitimize those joining the paid service that can access premium Twitter features.

Apart from its massive focus on verification with Twitter 2.0, the company still centers on other features that would make one's use of the platform better. Cashtags are now here to help bring different information and data that would put people to go out of their way to view and analyze, with it accessible on the platform already.
