Ahead of the announcement of Google, we now have an idea of what its rumored new Pixel phone might offer once it launches.

There have been a few leaks recently. The latest shows how the phone looks hands-on, confirming that it could potentially offer a buttery smooth refresh rate.

Last year, what looks to be renders of the device leaked online, suggesting that it looks a lot like its older sibling, the Pixel 6a.

This time, an alleged prototype of the upcoming budget phone seemingly has been misplaced.

As per the latest report by Phone Arena, Google appears to have been consistently losing its prototypes, leaving them in random places. And now, what looks to be a Pixel 7a has suddenly appeared.

A Twitter user, who goes by the username @chunvn8888, posted a photo and video of the missing Pixel 7a prototype. It looks even more real as Google has reportedly blocked access to the device.

But despite that, the rouge prototype still initially allowed access to the fastboot menu, disclosing some details about the upcoming Pixel phone.

The fastboot menu revealed that the Pixel 7a might feature up to 8GB of RAM. The prototype also comes with 128 GB of internal storage, which might be the base variant of the next-generation A-series phone.

Besides the 8GB of DDR5 RAM, the Pixel 7a could potentially sport up to 90Hz display.

It is worth noting that the current offering, the Pixel 6a, only offers up to 6GB of RAM. However, it looks like Google is working on upgrading it for its next budget device.

On top of that, the 6a only comes with the standard 60Hz refresh rate. So the potential 90Hz display is still notable, albeit lower than most flagships these days.

On top of these refinements, the next-generation A-series reportedly sports the all-new Tensor G2 chipset that we first saw at the Pixel 7.
