Famous Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo claims that there has been another delay for the much-awaited launch of the AR/VR headset from Apple, with doubts about its launch by the time of WWDC 2023. The analyst claims that there have been several pushes to the mass production of the device, seeing as much as one to two months of delay.

There is uncertainty in the market regarding its arrival by the dates of WWDC 2023, and claims that this may affect its launch in the said event, scheduled for the first week of June.

According to the latest tweet by famed Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, there is another delay to Apple's development of the AR/VR headset, one that would push it back to 1 to 2 more months in development. The company wants that "iPhone moment" for when it releases the wearable, but fears that this current version would not live up to it.

With this, Kuo claims that there is uncertainty about its development and is pushing back its mass production to work more on the AR/VR headset.

Additionally, the company's initial projected number of units to deliver this year, supposedly at around 500,000, will decrease to around 200,000 to 300,000 units to arrive this 2023, should it release.

It May Not Launch in WWDC 2023, Pushes Later in the Year

When Apple announced the WWDC 2023, the claims reignited the hype behind the mixed reality headset coming alongside it, with many speculations already snooping for hints or easter eggs on Cupertino's event confirmation.

Kuo's recent details on the mixed-reality headset center on a delay in production that would push the device to arrive later in the year, and not entirely canceled or see a significant push to next year.

The Apple Mixed Reality Headset

The famed "Reality Pro," as speculators and Apple analysts dub the mixed-reality headset is one of the most anticipated devices of this year, one which will put the Cupertino giant at a different game than before. The company's multi-tech products are reportedly expanding into the digital reality space, incorporating both augmented and virtual reality experiences in one device.

Speculations went to different lengths to uncover the device, but to no avail.

However, one of their most concrete news is that it will arrive by WWDC 2023, Apple's largest showcase for the first half of the year detailing its many developments in its software and operating systems. Apple is also looking into the release of what would power the device, the xrOS, as what leakers and speculators also call the operating system.

With the many speculations that claim it will arrive by 2022 or the prior months before, this upcoming rumored release date on WWDC 2023 also sees another delay, as per one of the most prolific analysts of the company. If Kuo's speculation remains to be true, the public may be seeing the AR/VR headset by mid-year or the Fall launch event of the company.
