The upcoming Apple mixed-reality headset, dubbed by analysts as the "Reality Pro," is nearing its release date that would showcase the company's first take on the wearable device. Initial claims made by the renowned analyst, Mark Gurman, center on a Spring release date, which is Apple's usual release window and event for the first set of its technology for the year.

However, for 2023, this is different as Apple already released the latest MacBook Pro M2 Pro and M2 Max to the world, via a press release, with a different take on the AR/VR wearable.

Apple 'Reality Pro' Mixed-Reality Headset New Details

According to the latest report from Bloomberg via Mark Gurman, the device will soon be called the "Reality Pro," and it would center on advanced features for a mixed-reality wearable. Its main selling point would be its eye and hand-tracking capabilities, it is one of the most advanced features of VR technology at the present. 

Moreover, the analyst claimed that Apple dedicated a team of more than 1,000 people to work on the AR/VR project of the company. The "Reality Pro" is a device seven years in the making, expending significant time and workforce for its future. 

The report further said that the device would be twice as much as rival VR and AR headsets, with a price tag that would play around $3,000.

Apple's Release Window, Features for 'Reality Pro'

Gurman further claimed (via 9to5 Mac) that the device's release window would be the upcoming Q2 of the year, which would be on its Spring showcase, possibly to do it via an event. 

The "Reality Pro" headset would feature the said eye and hand-tracking features, as well as external cameras, and a digital crown reminiscent of the Apple Watch that would help users toggle from AR or VR mode, and highlight the XR experience.

The AR/VR Headset from Cupertino

Massive rumors went live for Apple throughout 2022 and it all talked about the company's take on a mixed-reality headset that will arrive soon for the world. Its initial specs talked about the device sporting the latest M2 SoC processor that was designed and developed by the Cupertino company itself, to power computers and tablets. 

Moreover, it will have a significant 16 GB of memory, and its specs suggest that it will be for massive processes and will center on professional use. 

Despite developing hardware that centers on the AR and VR space, analysts and speculators claimed that Apple would not create a metaverse, unlike Meta with its Oculus. 

Certainly, there is a handful of information about the new mixed-reality headset wearable from Cupertino, one that would soon arrive for all to enjoy. Come the second quarter of the year, people will have the chance to get a first look and experience of what Apple has to offer for their XR technology, should the analysts be accurate.
