Best Buy's Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box service launches in the U.S., allowing residents to recycle their electronics without leaving their homes.

The American multinational consumer retailer announced its new service on Tuesday, April 5.
In its official blog post, the e-commerce giant said that the new Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box makes gadget recycling more convenient and accessible.
Best Buy added that consumers could ship any electronics they want to re-use; smartphones, tablets, laptops, cords, etc.
Best Buy Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box Launches
According to 9To5Mac's latest report, Best Buy already offers a recycling program to its U.S.-based consumers for the past years.

But, the new Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box is quite different since it no longer requires consumers to visit the nearest Best Buy stores.
The new main-in recycling program of Best Buy only needs you to purchase their prepaid boxes. These include the following:
- Small Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box: 9x5x3 inches, carries up to 6 lbs of electronics, costs $23.
- Medium Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box: 18x14x4 inches, carries up to 15 lbs of electronics, costs $30.
The new Best Buy recycling program is eligible, but not limited to the following electronics:
- Cables and cords
- Audio equipment
- Computers
- Keyboards
- Game consoles and controllers
- Smartphones
- Tablets
How to Avail Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box
Best Buy provided the easy steps users can follow to purchase the new Recycle-by-Mail Technology Box:
- First, visit the official Best Buy website and choose one of the two boxes offered.
- After that, the retailer will deliver the box right to your doorstep.
- You can fill the box with old gadgets you still want to recycle.
- After that, you must ship the prepaid box to the nearest UPS drop-off location. You can also schedule a pickup service from UPS.
