The famous anticipated sequel of the "Marvel's Spider-Man" game franchise, "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" is coming this 2023, but there are no exact details here yet from its developers and publishers. Insomniac Games and PlayStation are keeping fans and gamers at the edge of their seats for this one, but an insider claims that it is coming soon, but not that late this year.

Its highly-awaited sequel title would center on one of Spidey's greatest villains of all time, the one and only symbiotic alien, Venom, with the two heroes wearing the same mantle teaming together to take him down.

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier was talking about the controversial delay of "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's" move to 2024, but on a side note, mentioned how "Spider-Man 2" factors in on its move. According to a reputable source, "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" is coming this September, amidst the start of the Fall season.

Schreier is best known for his accurate claims over the past, and this may be a significant factor for his recent speculation of the upcoming Marvel game from Insomniac and PlayStation.

According to ComicBook Gaming, other sources and information behind "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" also points out a September release date, further verifying this window. Tony Todd, the Venom actor in the game, also slipped about a September release date.

What to Expect from 'Marvel's Spider-Man 2'?

While Insomniac and PlayStation did not reveal as much information about the upcoming Spider-Man video game sequel from its teaser, there are massive expectations for the upcoming title to live up to the reputation of its predecessor.

Still, there is the arrival of Venom, Spider-Man's archnemesis in the comics, and it is implied that Parker and Morales will join forces to defeat the alien symbiote speculated to be hosted by Eddie Brock. Further information is yet to unfold.

Insomniac's 'Spider-Man' Franchise

The original "Marvel's Spider-Man" game was first released on the PS4, and it became one of the best games of the year on the PlayStation for its iconic single-player story, action, graphics, and more. Some five years ago, the first game was released on September 7, and it marked an iconic time for Spidey fans and superhero-centered video games in the world.

Its success saw a standalone sequel while being in the same universe as the first game, showcasing more of the individual story of Miles Morales, the iconic Spider-Man in the comics. This game also saw success in the market, being one of the most famous PS5 games during the console's early availability.

The developers also looked into creating the sequel to Peter Parker's story, with the upcoming "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" being the continuation of his adventures.

The New York-based crime fighter from Marvel is swinging to the PlayStation as an exclusive release this year, but the insider claims it will be available by Fall. Should it be true, it will center on a full cycle to the original game which was also released in the same month, centering on the latest threat that the greatly responsible hero will face.
