Apple released the most advanced smartphone yet on Tuesday and promised to deliver AAA-rated games soon for iPhone 15 Pro, available to play on the device directly.

Apple's latest announcement does not center on simple mobile games alone but on titles previously available on the PC and consoles.

iPhone 15 Pro: Apple Adds AAA-Rated Games

Faster performance is one of the key features of the iPhone 15 Pro that houses the powerful A17 Pro chip, but there is more to the table than handling apps and other processes.

In Apple's "Wanderlust" event and press release, the company claimed that games would be a massive part of the future iPhone 15 Pro experience, offering "true-to-life" gaming right to a user's hands.

Apple claimed it would add AAA-rated games to the smartphone, the world's first company to do so. It will include four games: Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed Mirage," CAPCOM's "Resident Evil 4 Remake" and "Resident Evil Village," and Kojima Productions' "Death Stranding."

It is important to note that these titles require a graphics processing unit (GPU), which Apple has integrated into the A17 Pro with its 6-core GPU, 6-core CPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.

When Is 'Assassin's Creed Mirage,' 'Resident Evil 4 Remake, and MORE Coming to iPhone 15 Pro?

Apple offers a super retina XDR display, an OLED screen, and ProMotion of up to 120Hz refresh rates, paired with its chip's offer of ray tracing, going all in for gaming.

Three games are initially dropping on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro later this year, namely "Resident Evil Village," "Resident Evil 4 Remake," and "Death Stranding." However, gamers must wait until the first half of 2024 for "Assassin's Creed Mirage."

Apple's iPhone 15 For Gaming?

Games have always been a part of what Apple offers when it first delivered its smartphones and devices, including the iPod, with its App Store filled with mobile-focused games.

However, that changed when Apple revealed the iOS 17's beta, as analysts quickly discovered codes that point to "Game Mode" for iPhones and iPads, initially unveiled for the macOS Sonoma in WWDC 2023.

Apple did not shy away from gaming for the iPhones since then, but it did not offer much to enjoy on the smartphones as it still focuses on what developers offer, optimizing screens, controls, and specs.

The likes of Sony's Backbone One and the Razer Kishi for the iPhone may soon have more meaning once the upcoming AAA-rated games for the Apple smartphone drop.

The latest Wanderlust event may have delivered the iconic features of the iPhone 15 series to the world, and apart from its significant upgrades, Apple also unveiled the top 3nm silicon chip to date.

The iPhone 15 Pro's A17 Pro chip can run massive processes and games, with its ray tracing capabilities also promising a future in mobile gaming for AAA-rated console or PC titles.
