You are not a certified 90s kid if you haven't played any Pac-Man or raised your own Tamagotchi pet. That is how the 80s and 90s kids enjoyed their childhood by playing these two iconic video games.
Now, Bandai America -- Japanese toymaker company -- has recently announced a new device that will let you experience both games in one device, the Pac-Man Tamagotchi.

As a part of the 40th-anniversary celebration since Pac-Man was released in 1980, Bandai America is now looking forward to partner the pizza-with-a-slice-missing character to one of the most addicting games in the '90s, the Tamagotchi.
Pac-Man Tamagotchi-- as it is called-- can make players raise and care their own Tamagotchi pet just like from the past. However, players will no longer be alone with defending the Tamagotchi but can now have Pac-Man as their main fighter against ghosts and bugs that may harm Tamagotchi.
Just like also before, Tamagotchi's character has different levels-- from an egg to baby and adult. Once your Tamagotchi became an adult, it will turn into one of the seven adult characters, which will be determined by the game based on how you took care of your pet.
Players can also feed their Tamagotchi with rice or with Pac-Man's favorite snack, cherries! You can also choose Pac-Man from its two different shell types installed in the game while also having an option on which maze color -- either yellow or black -- will he be competing.
The design of the Pac-Man Tamagotchi is still the same. It has the three-button design to control your game, back-lit screens, and handheld feature that can be brought anywhere you want and can easily fit into your pockets or even hang to your bags with its keychain-type design.
How to play Pac-Man Tamagotchi?
Just like from the past, Pac-Man Tamagotchi can be played through taking care of your pet. However, compared from before, you can now play two mini-games: Pac Game and Catch Game, alongside with Pac-Man and your Tamagotchi.
If you are not able to give food and provide care for your Tamagotchi for the last couple of days, it might die, meaning you lose the game.
It is still unclear whether the new Pac-Man Tamagotchi will have a reset button on the back to be able to regain your old Tamagotchi.
Still, its more fun if you provide time into playing this device if you want to purchase it for preorder on Feb. 5 and will hit the market on Mar. 15 for only $20.

Aside from this epic device, Bandai is also making sure that the 40th Anniversary of Pac-Man will be remembered all over the world.
Since May 1980, Pac-Man conquered the arcade games from the past. Last year, the company even made a throwback music and dance video for the Pac-Man song.
Kipling, a world-known fashion brand, has also recently released a new set of Pac-Man merch-- from bags to pouches -- for their contribution to the iconic Anniversary.
