Thanks to the latest issue of Empire Magazine, potential fans of upcoming film Suicide Squad now have a better look at the movie and its characters, thanks to new images, new film details and exclusive interviews.

Today, though, Suicide Squad director David Ayer recently tweeted two new images from that feature: a different cover image of the magazine featuring Jared Leto as the Joker and a second magazine cover featuring Cara Delvingne as Enchantress. Here's hoping other characters from the film get the cover treatment, too.

The Joker cover of the magazine features Leto's version of the character that most are now familiar with: a tattooed and green-haired villain who looks ominously at the camera.

The cover of Enchantress, though, looks even better and serves as the best look we've seen yet of Delvingne as the character in costume. Enchantress looks stunning here, but she also looks intense and just a little scary.

Empire also spoke to the cast of the film, who gave fans some insight into what viewers can expect. Will Smith teased that his character, Deadshot, would be part of a love triangle with Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and the Joker, while Ayer confirmed that Harley is at the point in her life from the comics where she's breaking away from the Joker and becoming more independent.

Other details from the Suicide Squad feature mention Leto's time playing the Joker. As a method actor, he dove into the role and didn't break character, even when not filming scenes. Of course, Laurence Olivier might have told him to "just act," but Leto's dedication to the Clown Prince seems admirable, and his portrayal of the role seems different from anything we've yet seen in the comic books, films or on TV.

The magazine also unveiled Enchantress' back story: in the film, she wanders into a cave and gains her mystical powers. The character will possess somewhat of a split personality: that of June and that of the mysterious Enchantress. However, no one knows yet if Enchantress is a member of the team or one of the villains the team must fight.

The first full-length trailer for Suicide Squad debuted this summer at San Diego Comic-Con, featuring Leto's Joker front and center.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August Aug. 5, 2016.
