Google just rolled out updates which contain various new features Android users of Google Keep, Docs, Slides and Sheets apps will be able to use.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Google is planning to update Google Keep and integrate an annotation function and a drawing mode. It turns out, however, the Keep app wasn't the only one to get an update.

Sheets

As Google explained in a blog post dated Oct. 28, 2015, the Google Sheets app now permits users to have a larger spreadsheet where they can "view more content at one time." When the user scrolls down or zooms in on a worksheet, the headers and toolbars will be automatically hidden and thus, providing more space to work with. Bringing back both will require a simple zoom out or scroll up from the user.

"Now, when you scroll down or zoom in on a spreadsheet, we'll hide your toolbars and headers so that you can see more of your content on the screen at one time. To bring those toolbars and headers back, simply scroll up or zoom out," reads the blog post.

Furthermore, Sheets on Android now displays the filters that were applied using Sheets on the web. Google notes that prior to the update, users of Sheets on Android devices were not shown the filters and did not know that they were viewing filtered content.

Another feature that was ported from the Android Sheets web app is the Paste, which allows users to copy content along with formatting, associated values, conditional formatting, formula and data validation.

"You can also paste everything but borders or paste your content in a transposed order," Google comments on the Paste feature of Sheets for Android.

Slides and Docs

Slides now allows users to edit existing links and insert new ones directly into the slides using the context menu and toolbar of the Android Slides app.

Moreover, both Slides and Docs for Android now support subscripts and superscripts through the text formatting palette.

Keep

Google also confirmed the previous reports of the Keep app for Android getting an annotation function and drawing mode.

"When it's easier to doodle than type, capture your thoughts by drawing in Keep," said Google.

Some features in the mentioned productivity apps will be rolled out gradually and can take up to three days before they show up.
