Shopping for a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book? If so, you'll be glad to know that Best Buy is currently running a trade-in promotion for Surface devices.

Upon hitting the retailers' shelves last week, both the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book were reported to have sold out in some stores. It speaks of the popularity and functionality of both devices. Nonetheless, it would not make sense to get one these if your old devices are still functional.

With this understanding in mind, Best Buy is currently running a trade-in promotion for those who want to replace their devices with the new Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book. Until Nov. 7 Best Buy will accept laptop, tablet or 2-in-1 trade-ins for the surface devices. Upon trade-in customers will be getting a $10 Best Buy gift card and depending on the retail value of the device, as much as a $90 trade-in coupon will also be awarded, which makes a total of a $100 worth of trade-in credit that can be applied to the purchase of a new Surface device.

Note that Best Buy's trade-in offer will not include e-readers such as the Barnes and Noble Nook. Moreover, not every product will be eligible for the trade-in and each store can opt to set their own limitations to the existing ones for the trade-in. Best Buy will also have the option to limit the trade-in quantities or refuse a certain transaction.

Furthermore, an item's documentation, accessories and condition can factor the appraised retail value of the device that customers will bring. Best Buy also reminds its customers that devices with defects such as water-damage, failure to boot up and cracks will not be eligible for evaluation. Customers will also be requested to sign a copy of the Terms and Conditions prior to closing the deal. A one coupon limit per transaction will be implemented.
