Numerous third-party apps are updating to versions that support iOS 9 and the Touch feature of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The latest ones to add support the latest iOS version and build on the functionality of the said feature is Mobile Mouse Remote and Flickr.

With the update to version 4.0.6, the Flickr iOS app now fully supports 3D Touch and iOS 9. Thus, users of Apple's current flagship line up need only a light press to start viewing photos, notifications, people and other features of the app.

The Flickr app also extends the 3D Touch functionality to camera roll. Users can preview an image simply by pressing it while moving the finger either left or right will allow them to quickly skim through the neighboring images. To view the image on full screen, a long press is needed.

The new Flickr version also brings about Spotlight Search, a new feature will eliminate the need to open the app when finding albums, recently-viewed items and groups. Another new feature is Universal Links, which will open web links natively within the Flickr app and not on Safari.

With support for 3D Touch, the Flickr app now has App Icon Shortcuts. A common actions menu will pop up once the user long-presses on app's icon in the home screen.

As mentioned, aside from Flickr, Mobile Mouse Remote, can transform the Apple watch, iPad and iPhone into a wireless trackpad, keyboard and remote and other devices that will be compatible with a Mac or PC. With its newest 3.3.4 version, the $1.99-dollar app can turn trackpads into a pressure sensitive mouse button. Pushing down on the trackpad will register as a mouse click.

Furthermore, Glow will now respond to touch pressure. Moreover, pressure sensitive sketches will be possible even without a pressure sensitive stylus. Thus, fingers and a normal stylus will now be viable tools for drawing.

With 3D Touch Mobile Mouse Remote also offers its own take on App Icon Shortcuts. By firmly pressing on its home screen icon, users will be able to access individual sections of the app. Also, when on the application switcher, simply pushing down an icon will bring up the app's options menu.
