With cloud-based transitions taking place across the business world, Trend Micro is launching a number of new innovative capabilities for Microsoft Office 365 users.

The goal of the new capacity is to secure cloud architectures that are combined with the centralized management, which should help in protection and guard against data loss or hacking into systems by advanced malware. This all can be accomplished, the company says, within Microsoft's current infrastructure.

"Our history with Microsoft runs deep, and our approach to providing customers with sound security-enhanced changes will help users achieve the full benefits and ROI the cloud has to offer," said Partha Panda, vice president, global channels and strategic alliances, Trend Micro.

"This complementary approach to security will help enable Microsoft partners to address their customers' concerns so they can more effectively close deals. As the largest, pure-play security software provider, we are deeply committed to being innovators in cloud protection as adoption surges across global industries," he added.

Trend Micro is a leader in data threat and data protection efforts for both networking and email solutions. By giving Office a boost, Trend Micro sees that the cloud is the wave of the future and by allowing companies the ability to centrally manage their networks, it will increase productivity.

And by focusing on security, Trend Micro is hitting where companies and individuals are most fearful: losing their data to third-party sources without their knowledge.

"The cloud lets businesses stay focused on their customers and profits, rather than worrying about the limitations of lengthy deployment processes or outdated technology," said Kim Akers, general manager, Microsoft. "Companies like Trend Micro have a breadth of knowledge about data security that help secure cloud applications, and complement our solutions."

The cloud has become a new battleground for companies, which has seen a number of new innovations to cloud and networking technology. Tend Micro is hopeful that its current new rollout will help it push forward and maintain its position as a leader in the cloud-based technological move that is the current trend of businesses and organizations.
