In a short period of time, Spotify's Discover Weekly feature has introduced users to new music recommendations, possibly enlightening them to artists they never knew and thus expanding their audible horizons.

To that same tune, Spotify announced the launch Thursday of Concerts, a new feature that has Spotify suggesting live music events to attend, depending on your location and music taste. Concerts is now available to all iPhone and Android users and expected for users of Spotify's desktop app as well.

The Concerts feature notifies Spotify users when their favorite artists announce concerts near them, so that they don't miss a show. It's a feature that artists will love as well, considering that much more people will know about their tour dates and locations now.

To access the feature, open the Browse tab on Spotify and select Concerts to get a personalized list of what's playing near you. The recommendations are based on your listening history with the app and recommendations of which artists you might enjoy to see live as well.

If you're traveling and want to know the concerts going on in that area, simply choose Change Location to get a list of concerts in that town. The Concerts function is being powered by Songkick, which will load the feature with artist tour dates, enabling users to also find tickets through its service with just a few clicks. Pretty convenient.

If you have already been enjoying Discover Weekly on Spotify, Concerts is bound to only enhance your experience.
