After a few weeks of confusion, Microsoft is finally putting the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL back for preorder at the Microsoft store and other retailers in the U.K.

The Redmond-based tech giant first listed its flagship smartphones for preorder a couple of weeks ago for the price of £449.99 ($682) and £529.99 ($803) respectively. However, Microsoft stirred things up a bit when it suddenly decided to take off the preorder sign from its upcoming devices.

Last week, Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Michael Gillett pointed out on Twitter that Microsoft quietly opened the preorder games for both Lumia 950 and 950 XL again.

Customers who plan on buying at Microsoft's store will be able to get the smartphones for the same prices as previously listed. Microsoft also lists shipping times as Dec. 3, a couple of weeks after the Lumia 950 becomes available in the U.S. via AT&T on Nov. 20.

For those who want to save up on a few pounds, however, can purchase the Lumia 950 from Amazon U.K. for £429.99 ($653) and the Lumia 950 XL for £479.99 ($729). That's a £20 ($30) and £50 ($75) savings for each smartphone, compared to the price if bought from Microsoft itself. The catch is buyers will have to wait for more than a week before Amazon starts shipping their orders on Dec. 12.

But perhaps eager beavers don't have to wait longer while still paying for less. Carphone Warehouse offers the best deal on the new Lumias so far. Customers can get the Lumia 950 for £419.99 ($637), or £10 ($15) less than the offer on Amazon and £30 ($45) less than the phone's official price. Meanwhile, the 5.7-inch Lumia 950 XL is available for £469.99 ($713), again £10 less than Amazon's price and a good £50 off Microsoft's own price.

Carphone Warehouse also offers both phones on a two-year contract plan from Vodafone, EE, iD and O2. Among these plans, Vodafone provides the most value with a £32 ($49) a month 24-month plan with 500 minutes of calls, unlimited texts and 500 MB of 4G data. Meanwhile, the Lumia 950 XL can be purchased with a £35 ($53) monthly plan for 24 months. This includes 1,000 minutes of calls, unlimited texts and 1 GB of 4G data.
