Blade Runner 2 still sounds like it's too good to be true: Ridley Scott is returning to the franchise after more than 30 years, and Harrison Ford is coming along for the ride. On paper, it sounds like the best thing ever ... but it takes a lot more than two people to make a movie on par with the original Blade Runner.

It feels like Ryan Gosling has been "attached" to Blade Runner 2 since the movie's existence was revealed: despite never officially announcing whether or not he'd be starring alongside Ford, rumors of Gosling's involvement had been circulating for months. No official statement was ever released, and many were split on whether or not Gosling would actually be a part of the movie. Now, after months of speculation, fans finally have their answer.

In an interview with Collider, Gosling confirmed that he will indeed be appearing alongside Harrison Ford in Blade Runner ... and that's about it. Obviously, the movie is being kept under wraps until it's actually ready to be shown, but ... come on, can't we get something?

Aside from the fact that he'll be involved with the movie in some capacity, fans know nothing about Gosling's part in the movie — and, sadly, there's really no way to nail down what sort of part he could play. Rumors about the script have claimed that Ford won't be a major player in the film until the third act — could this mean that Gosling is looking to take on more of a leading role, or will Deckard return as the star one more time?

At this point, it's all speculation — until Scott decides that the movie is ready for its grand reveal, there's no way of knowing how Gosling works into everything. Of course, considering how many spoilers are flying around Hollywood at this point, maybe that's a good thing.
