Next month sees what is probably the biggest The Flash and Arrow crossover events yet, thanks to a storyline that leads up to The CW's next superhero series Legends of Tomorrow. Not only will the two crossover episodes feature some other famous characters from the DC universe, but they'll also bring Team Flash and Team Arrow back together for a reunion..

In a new trailer released promoting the two-episode crossover event, Legends of Tomorrow supervillain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) gets introduced. Actress Caity Lotz who plays Black Canary and the future White Canary, aka Sara Lance, mentioned Savage earlier this year as the big bad guy of the new series.

"Our big bad villain in season one is Vandal Savage," said Lotz at this year's Superman Celebration. "He's been around for like thousands of years, or something like that. So yeah, he's got a lot of life experience."

The following trailer finally introduces the villain, who in DC Comics, goes all the way back to the time of prehistoric cavemen. After getting hit by a meteorite's radiation, he gained a high intelligence and immortality.

The trailer also introduces Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), as well as Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée). Savage is after Hawkgirl, aka Kendra, so Team Flash and Arrow try to protect her. Unfortunately, instead, she gets abducted by Hawkman.

Meanwhile, Earth-2's Dr. Harrison Wells creates a serum to help Barry run faster and asks Earth-2's Flash, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) to test it out.

"Well, Barry actually encounters this situation where he wants to go to Oliver and Team Arrow for help, and that's our tipping point," said actor Stephen Amell, who portrays Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow to IGN. "The fight takes us from Central City to Star City to Central City to a farmhouse... It's good, man. It's just good."

The CW also recently released full episode descriptions for the crossover episodes, with The Flash episode titled "Legends of Today" and the Arrow episode titled "Legends of Yesterday."

The Flash and Arrow two-episode crossover event lands on television on the CW on December 1.

Legends of Tomorrow does not yet have a release date, but most expect the series to premiere in early 2016, probably airing during the winter hiatus for both The Flash and Arrow.
